You don't have to? You can just type "renagades" / "greh" / "isg" in the new game menu to unlock them temporarily.

True, but when you wanted to start a new game after playing one of said factions, you would have to re-enter the names of the factions in order to re-unlock them, this prevents that and forces them to stay un locked persistently throughout new games and restarts.

You can't, the only way to play as those factions is to start as them after unlocking them by completing the three storylines.

If you use any mod organizer there will be none. If you use Mod Organizer 2 You can extract the data, create a new folder named "gamedata" with a folder named "scripts" in it and put the mod data from this mod into that folder. Then pack it up again and load it in mod organizer, that worked for me.

This is a great idea. It does not work with 1.5.1.2, but still a great idea. I had to reinstall Anomaly due to somebody's addon causing ctd's. I am not very fond at all of being required to do the main story for the 10th time just to unlock UNsig again.

So with this mod, any trader I talk to crashes the game including faction/mercenary. Here is the log:
