Bugs are the easiest things to kill in real-life. They are tiny and vulnerable compared to our big human bodies. Since you are pretty much shrunk into the size of a bug in Grounded, it is fair game. Insects are incredibly strong for their size, and you get to see that in action once you are a tiny person.

There are some pretty tough enemies in the game, such as Black Ox Beetles and spiders. What takes the cake are the bosses you have to deal with. Some are optional while others are a must for completing the game. Luckily, the worst one is an optional fight.
7 Mant
The Mant is one of Dr. Wendell Tully's failed experiments and is one of the bosses that you can only kill once. To find him, you will have to access the Undershed Lab in the Upper Yard, meaning that you must at least have Level Three gear at this point.
The Mant has pretty simple melee attacks, accompanied by summoning a Fire Ant here and there. The worst of this fight is when he throws out infected spores, but these can be avoided. When defeated, you get an interesting Mutation that gives a two percent chance to spawn Mant to help you fight. Not the most useful Mutation, but unique and funny.
6 Mantis
The Mantis is one of the cooler-looking bosses that takes a lot of work to unlock. You must have first defeated the Hedge Broodmother and Assistant Manager. You can then only find the Mantis by crafting a summoning item and using it inside the Flower Pot on top of the Shed in the Upper Yard.

Once again, this means that you need at least Level Three tools to be in this area as well as Level Three weapons! You can craft some pretty cool gear using Mantis pieces. The Upon defeat, you unlock the Mutation Apex Predator which increases damage and effects of weapons made from boss material. The Orchid Mantis' attacks are not too brutal compared to others. The worst attack is a consecutive attack of three slams that produce an AOE wave and knock you down.
5 Assistant Manager
Robots suck. Defeating the Assistant Manager is important for progress with it unlocking items and other bosses. Once you defeat this boss, you receive the Assistant Manager Keycard, which will unlock an array of labs around the map. During the fight, not only must you face a strong robot and his robot minions, but also lasers and electricity that shoot out at you constantly throughout.
You can't really control the battlefield and must choose your steps wisely in order to avoid imminent death. Though the fight is chaotic, and you may die at first, you will quickly realize it is easy to stay alive by staying in the middle of the pillar where the lasers come out of. Believe it or not, there are tougher fights out there.
4 Wasp Queen
The Wasp Queen is one of the hardest boss fights. To even unlock this fight, you have to go through the process of unlocking the entrance to the Brawny Boy Bin in the Upper Yard. During this fight, the Wasp Queen will use ranged attacks, melee attacks, and poison damage. She will also summon other wasps who do the same thing.

What stings about the Wasp Queen, and every other wasp in the game, is the poison damage. From basic attacks, you will start losing health over time. The best way to negate this poison damage is by using a weapon that inflicts Life Steal, like Tick Macuahuitl and Mosquito Rapier. That way, as you attack you will gain health back.
3 Hedge Broodmother
When everyone first started playing Grounded, their worst fear was bumping into a spider. Let's face it. Most people don't like spiders, even if we are enormous in comparison, but most especially when we are the same size as them or smaller. The Hedge Broodmother is optional and located in the trees or hedge near Hedge Lab.
This is a strong spider that will inflict poison damage and summon smaller spiderlings that also poison you. Being able to block is important, but you can't protect yourself against everything. This is once again another fight that would benefit from a weapon that has Life Steal.
2 Director Schmector
This is by far the hardest robot fight in the entire game. If you thought the Assistant Manager was challenging, you might want to look away. The optional fight with Director Schmector is similar in design to the Assistant Manager, but more chaotic.
If you so much as touch the lasers in this fight, you will instantly die. It is easy to get trapped in them because you are inclined to back away from the center and one of the boss's attacks physically pushes you. By going to the edge of the map, where there's another laser, you will be pushed in and trapped.
1 Infected Broodmother
Once again, spiders suck. If you thought a regular, strong spider with poison damage was too much... you haven't seen anything yet. This fight is optional and similar to the Hedge Broodmother, but this time she is infected and located in the Haze.
The Infected Broodmother can only be unlocked by sealing the Haze Canister, and then you must use a summoning item. This boss does more than poison damage — she also does Venom damage, which takes more health over time and cannot be protected with Mithradatism. This spider will throw spores, inflict stabbing, use explosives, and whittle away at your health as you fight her. Safe to say, you will need a miracle to survive.
