The official July 4th holiday falls on Tuesday in 2023, setting the stage for fireworks, parades, concerts and special events throughout New Jersey this weekend and into next week.

From small town celebrations to the massive fireworks displays in New York and Philadelphia visible from New Jersey, scores of events are planned to celebrate Independence Day.

Here’s a look at some of the Fourth of July fireworks planned throughout New Jersey this year.

Atlantic County

  • Atlantic City’s Tropicana Atlantic City hotel will host a fireworks show at 10 p.m. on July 4. The fireworks can be seen along the beach and boardwalk. Call 609-340-4000 for more information.
  • Atlantic City’s Renault Winery and Resort will host an Independence Country Music Festival and fireworks show on July 1-2. The fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m. on July 2. Call 609-965-2111 for more information.
  • Margate City’s annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at 9 p.m. July 4 at Huntington Avenue. Call 609-823-9144 for more information.

Bergen County

  • Allendale will hold its Independence Day fireworks display from 9-10 p.m. on July 4 at Crestwood Lake in Allendale. Visit www.holidayobservers.org/fourth-of-july.
  • Paramus will be hosting its July 4th fireworks show on July 2 at the Cliff Gennarelli Sportsplex. Field access will open at 6 p.m. Visit www.paramus4thofjuly.com/schedule2023 for more information.
  • Ridgewood’s Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks show will start at 6 p.m. on July 4 at Veterans Field. Rain date is July 5. Click the link for more information.

  • Mount Holly’s Fourth of July Celebration will be held on Monday, July 3, from 5-11 p.m. at Iron Works Park, Mount Holly mounthollycelebrations.com.
  • Medford Township’s Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks Display will be held Saturday, July 1, 6-10 p.m. (Rain date is July 3 at Freedom Park, Medford Township medfordcelebrates.org.
  • Evesham’s Independence Day Celebration will be held Tuesday, July 4, taking place all day throughout Evesham Township eveshamcelebrations.org.

Camden County

  • Collingswood Borough’s Fireworks Spectacular display will begin at dusk on July 4 at Collingswood High School, located at 424 Collings Ave. Check here for more event details.
  • Battleship New Jersey will host its Fourth of July fireworks show starting at 7 p.m. on July 1 at the Camden Waterfront in Camden. Another fireworks show will be held at 7 p.m. on July 4 at 100 Clinton St. in Camden. Visit battleshipnewjersey.org for more event details.
  • Camden City will be hosting its Freedom Festival Concert and Fireworks show on July 4 at Camden Waterfront Stadium, located at 401 North Delaware Ave. The fireworks show will start 9:30 p.m. Click here to learn more details.

Cape May County

  • Cape May City’s annual fireworks display will be on July 4. Fireworks launch across from Congress Hall from a barge a quarter mile offshore. Visitors can view the show from the beach, promenade, or any property facing Beach Avenue. In the event of rain, fireworks may be rescheduled or canceled.
  • Lower Township’s Independence Day Festival and Fireworks will be held on July 3 starting at 5 p.m. Fireworks show will begin after 9 p.m. on the bayfront in North Cape May. The festival will have rides, food and entertainment. Rain date is July 5.

Cumberland County

  • Bridgeton’s annual Horseshoe Tournament will take place, Tuesday, July 4, at the Berkowitz Picnic Area, adjacent to Alden Field, in Bridgeton’s City Park. The fireworks display is at dusk. Rain date is Saturday, July 8. For more information, call 856-453-1675.

  • Essex County will host its free Summer Music Concert series featuring a concert by the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and a fireworks spectacular show at 7:30 p.m. on June 30 at Essex County Branch Brook Park in Newark. Click this link for more details.

  • Woodbury’s annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration Saturday, July 1, from 6:30-10 p.m. at Woodbury High School, Woodbury woodbury.nj.us.

Hudson County

  • Jersey City’s Grucci will host a Fourth of July fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 along the Hudson River. Visit www.jerseycityculture.org for more information.
  • Secaucus Swim Club will host the annual Fourth of July Celebration and fireworks show starting at 6 p.m. on June 29 at the Secaucus Swim Club, located at 2000 Koelle Boulevard. Click this link for more information.

  • Lawrence Township’s annual Independence Day Fireworks will be held on June 30 at Rider University, located at 2083 Lawrenceville Road in Lawrenceville. Middlesex County

  • Highland Park will host Fireworks in the Park at 5 p.m. on July 2 at Donaldson County Park, located at 526 S. 2nd Ave. Festivities start at 5 p.m. with kids’ activities, food vendors and music.   • Perth Amboy Fireworks will begin at 9:20 p.m. on July 3 on the waterfront at Sadowski Parkway. A rain date is set for July 5. Monmouth County

  • Bradley Beach will hold Fourth of July fireworks at dusk on July 3 at the beachfront. Visit www.bradleybeachnj.gov or call 732-776-2999.
  • Belmar will host a fireworks and laser light show at 9:10 p.m. on June 30 at the beachfront located at Taylor Pavilion, 5th and Ocean avenues. Call 732-681-3700, ext. 214, or visit www.vacationinbelmar.com.
  • Colts Neck will host a fireworks event at 6-10 p.m. on July 3 at Bucks Mill Park’s recreation area, located at Bucks Mill Road. This a free event to the public.   • Freehold Township, in partnership with the Veteran’s Community Alliance, will host a fireworks show during its 20th annual Freehold Township Day from 4-11 p.m. on July 8 at Michael J.   • Hazlet will host its annual Hazlet Fireworks Show at 7 p.m. on July 2 at Hazlet’s Veterans Park, located at 1776 Union Ave. The rain date is Monday, July 3.
